HONORS~
Students should be nearing completion of the rough draft of the research paper.  We will work on editing papers in class on Thursday.  Students will conference with Mr. Burklund tomorrow about progress of the paper and we will be editing in class.

MASS MEDIA~
Students will take the television quiz today in class and then wrap up editing on the final newscast.  We will be showing these newscasts in class tomorrow.

ENGLISH 10~
Rough drafts of the paper are due today in class.  All students had papers checked in at the beginning of the class for points.  Following the survivor challenge, students will work on editing papers.  The editing sheet can be found on the LOTF webpage.

Students continued working on rough drafts for the paper.  We will be editing in class on Thursday.

MASS MEDIA~
Today we continued working on videos.  Tomorrow we will be taking a short quiz on camera angles, movements, and shots.  Furthermore, there will be questions on the test related to discussions we have had in class about constructing the news.

ENGLISH 10~
Rough drafts for the papers are due tomorrow when you walk in the door.  Please have them ready for editing.  Final drafts of the paper will be due on Thursday.

Students should have completed the outline for the paper over the weekend.  Students need to have a rough draft ready to go for Thursday so that we can edit in class.

MASS MEDIA~
Students will work on editing today.  We will be taking a television quiz tomorrow in class and then continue to work on editing.  Thursday we will be presenting stories in class.

ENGLISH 10~
Today students will continue to work on papers.  Rough drafts will be due in class on Wednesday so that we can work on editing.  Final drafts will be due at the end of the class on Thursday.

Students should be working on news desk anchors.  Students also should complete the History of News handout that is located on the television page.  You can use additional resources to find the answers if you would like.

Begin storyboarding and recording new stories.  All stories should currently be posted to your weebly site and Mr. Burklund should have your weebly address.  If you have not turned in this information, please do so ASAP.

ENGLISH 10~
Today we started working on the LOTF final paper.  The paper assignment is posted on the LOTF webpage.  Please read over the requirements.  The papers will be due next week before spring break.

HONORS~
Research day for Disney research paper.

MASS MEDIA~
Students worked on the news story for the final story of the quarter.  We will be going through information tomorrow about the history of television.

ENGLISH 10~
Today we started with a reading quiz from chapters 9-11 of LOTF and we took a vocabulary quiz on chapters 1-4.  We went through a brief analysis of the symbolism worksheet and discussed how different symbols can be interpreted from the book.  We then went to the lab and did some review for LOTF with an online game.  We watched a few movie clips from LOTF and discussed the ending of the book.  Students should look over the review guide tonight that is posted on the webpage for the final test tomorrow.  The final test will take most of the block.

MASS MEDIA~
Students continued working on newscast and finalized the previous newscast from last week.

ENGLISH 10~
Today we reviewed the reading from over the weekend.  Students will be taking a reading quiz and vocabulary quiz tomorrow.  The final test for LOTF will be on Wednesday this week.

Today, we looked over the Disney research paper that will be due on the last day of the quarter.  The assignment requirements are posted on the Fairy Tale page.

MASS MEDIA~
Today we wrapped up working on stories and moved to start working on the stories for the next week.  Try to think of a new variety of stories for the second newscast.

ENGLISH 10~
Today students had a full reading day to work on the larger reading assignment for the weekend.  Please check your iCal for due dates.  We will be taking the final test next week.
