HONORS~
Today was a reading day to focus on analyzing fairy tales. We used the critical analysis books to read through the section on Little Red Ridinghood. Be sure to pay particular attention to the tale types and consider some of the critical lenses we discussed in class.
MASS MEDIA~
Today we took notes on how to structure a newscast using the analyzing news video. We stopped and talked about different news story examples along the way. Students should consider thoroughness, fairness, newsworthiness, and representation of the world when we start to create stories. We then worked on a reading assignment and worksheet called "what is news?".
ENGLISH 10~
We spent time going through notes on how to write an effective introduction. We discussed examples in class. We also spent time talking about how to find the theme of a work of literature.
