"With great power comes great responsibility"
With the implementation of the iPad program, our district moved to a new required class for freshmen students called Digital Citizenship. The focus of this class was to help prepare our students for living a healthy life in an ever increasing digital world. |

This project was created by a student to show the different camera shots & angles when filming the school news. Typically this class ranges in size from 25-30 students and requires checking out video cameras and a computer lab. Our media center would typically have 5-8 cameras available at any given time making student projects difficult to complete.
Now students are able to do individual projects which they are solely accountable for and we NEVER have to check out a computer lab! Check out Tricia's other awesome videos in her online Weebly Portfolio for Mass Media. |
The high school teachers spent part of the staff development time at the beginning of the school year learning about wiki calendars and iCal. Although the process and idea took a little time to figure out, nearly ever staff member at the high school is currently utilizing an active iCal for students to check on assignment and testing dates.
Furthermore, many of our students have started using the iCal for personal use to help become more organized! |
